Life cycle of mites

How long do mites live?

1-Mite becomes adult in about 2-3 weeks, feeding on the scales of skin and hair. Generally they are more concentrated inside the bedrooms because, being dermatophagoids (Which means nourishing of skin and hair) theyfind in mattresses, pillows and bedroomsthe most congenial places to them: for every gram of dust there can be up to 1000 specimens! (one adult produces in 1-day sufficient cutaneous debris to nourish 1000 mites for a month).
2-The female mites, living for other 6 weeks in our beds, lay, in their life, 60-100 eggs that will hatch in a few days.
3-Each mite produces about 2000 fecal particles during its life cycle which are the real causes of the appearance of allergy.
